► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko x Playboy men’s quartz dress watch, model Y480-0460, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1980s. This collaboration timepiece is a true collectible, combining Seiko’s reliable quartz movement with the iconic Playboy branding. It features a sleek black dial with minimalist gold-tone markers, the Playboy rabbit logo at 6 o’clock, and a slim gold-tone bezel for a refined dress look. The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly. What makes this example especially rare is that it comes complete with all original parts, including the Playboy-branded leather strap and the original Playboy-signed buckle, both of which are very hard to find intact today. It also includes its original manual booklet, further adding to its collectability. The watch shows signs of use and age but remains in good overall physical condition, as best represented in the photos. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
