► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko x Playboy men’s quartz wristwatch, reference 4300-3070, produced exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This elegant and minimalist design pairs Seiko’s renowned quartz precision with the iconic Playboy branding—making it one of the most distinctive collaborations of the era. The watch features a rectangular stainless steel case with sharp, architectural lines and a deep blue dial accented by the Playboy bunny logo positioned at the lower right corner. Its clean, modern design reflects the sophisticated styling trends of 1980s Japan while maintaining a subtle, refined presence on the wrist. The case measures approximately 29 mm wide and 34 mm long, giving it a balanced and comfortable fit suited for both daily wear and collection display. The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly. It is fitted with an aftermarket black leather strap, which complements the case and dial beautifully. The caseback is clearly signed “Playboy / Seiko Quartz / Japan,” confirming its authenticity and collaboration origin. The watch remains in good physical condition, showing signs of use consistent with age, including light surface marks on the case. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
