► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko Solar Titanium men’s sports watch, reference V181-0AB0, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1990s. This model reflects Seiko’s early exploration into solar-powered quartz technology combined with lightweight titanium construction, resulting in a sleek and understated sports watch design from the era. The watch is being sold for parts and repair. It is currently not running and completely untested, so the exact issue is unknown. It is possible that the watch simply requires a new solar cell, but it may have additional or more serious issues. Because of this, no guarantees can be made regarding functionality, and it should be assumed that service or repair will be required. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket stainless steel bracelet. The watch shows signs of use and age, consistent with a vintage piece. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
