Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Seiko Quartz Type II 7546-8000 Men’s 14K GP Classic Dress Watch, a desirable Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model from the 1970s. Powered by Seiko’s reliable 7546 quartz movement, the Type II series was known for its excellent accuracy, refined styling, and high-quality construction during the golden age of Japanese quartz watchmaking.
The watch is in full working condition and all functions operate properly. All parts of the watch are original with the exception of the bracelet, as I am unsure whether the gold tone expandable bracelet is original to the watch. The watch features its original white dial, original hands, original day and date display, and original Seiko Type II signed case and movement.
An interesting feature of this particular example is the engraved caseback, which commemorates 10 years of service and bears the name Fukoku Rubber Industry Co., Ltd., a major Japanese industrial manufacturer. This engraving indicates the watch was originally presented as a long-service award to an employee, adding a unique piece of Japanese corporate history and provenance.
The watch is in good physical condition with signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. The photos best describe its physical condition.

► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY
Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
