► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Seiko Quartz F441-5000 men’s digital LCD watch from the 1970s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This model is a remarkable example of early digital innovation, featuring an exceptionally thin stainless steel case and a highly distinctive integrated bracelet design. Achieving a digital watch of this thinness during the 1970s was a significant technological feat, making this piece both historically important and highly collectible. The watch is in working condition. Timekeeping, date, and digital functions operate properly. Some pixels on the seconds counter are not lighting, which is visible in the display, but aside from this issue the watch functions as intended. All parts of the watch are original, including the case, module, display, clasp, and its very unique built-in stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet design is integral to the watch’s ultra-thin profile and is a key part of what makes this model so rare and desirable. The watch shows signs of use and age consistent with a vintage piece. The photos best describe its physical condition and originality. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
