► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Seiko Quartz 7880-5210 men’s classic dress watch from the 1970s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This elegant model features a clean and timeless design with a distinctive square case, making it a perfect example of Seiko’s refined quartz dress watches from the era. The watch is in full working condition and all features and functions of the watch are working properly. I am unsure if the mesh bracelet is original to the watch and it should be assumed that it is not original. All other parts of the watch are believed to be original. The watch shows signs of use and age and has developed a wonderful vintage charm over the years. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
