► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Seiko Quartz H557-506A men’s classic ana-digi dress/sports wristwatch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1980s. This model features Seiko’s distinctive analog-digital layout combined with a bold, angular case and an integrated two-tone bracelet design, giving it a strong period-correct aesthetic and excellent wrist presence. The watch appears to be in working condition. Timekeeping and digital display are functioning properly. I am unsure if the alarm/sound is working, as I have not been able to figure out how to set the alarm. Beyond this, no other issues are known. All parts of the watch are original, including the case, dial, hands, and Seiko-signed stainless steel bracelet. The watch features a very unique case and bracelet design that is increasingly difficult to find in original configuration. The watch shows signs of use and age consistent with its vintage nature, and the photos best describe its physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
