► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
for sale is a rare vintage Seiko G757-405A men’s digital watch from the 1980s, an iconic Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model famously associated with James Bond in the film Octopussy. This reference has become a highly sought-after piece among vintage Seiko collectors and Bond memorabilia enthusiasts.
The watch appears to function across most modes, and the sound function is working. However, it has a significant and clearly disclosed issue with the display. The screen intermittently turns on and off—at times it works completely fine, while at other times it can remain off for hours before coming back on. Display brightness varies between modes, and the upper left analog/digital display area is also intermittently affected. The backlight does not appear to function. The behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable, so the watch is being sold as-is for parts or repair.
All parts of the watch are original, including the Seiko-signed stainless steel bracelet. The watch shows signs of use consistent with age. Photos best describe its physical condition, so please review them carefully.
Please note: due to the watch’s existing electronic and display instability, I cannot guarantee how the watch will function after temperature changes, pressure changes, or handling during shipping. Functionality upon arrival may differ from what is observed prior to shipment.

► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY
Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
