► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Seiko Le Vent Crescent Moon Quartz dress watch, reference 1F20-5J60, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1990s. This highly distinctive model was created in collaboration with legendary Japanese supermodel Sayoko Yamaguchi and stands as one of the most unconventional and artistic designs ever released by Seiko—widely regarded as a true grail among serious Seiko collectors. The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly. Timekeeping is accurate and the movement performs as intended. This piece features the iconic asymmetrical crescent-shaped gold-tone case paired with a minimalist dial, embodying the avant-garde design language that made the Le Vent series so memorable. The sculptural case form and elegant proportions give the watch a strong presence while remaining refined and wearable. This example comes complete with its original instruction manual, adding to its overall collectibility. The strap appears original based on its construction and age-consistent wear, though this cannot be confirmed with absolute certainty. The watch shows signs of use and age, and the photos best describe its physical condition. The case measures approximately 21mm x 37mm, placing it in a versatile size range—suitable as a standard men’s dress watch or a larger women’s watch. ► ARCHIVE FILE: SEIKO — BRAND HISTORY

Seiko begins with Kintaro Hattori, who opened a shop selling and repairing clocks in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1881, at the age of twenty-one. He founded the Seikosha factory in 1892 to manufacture wall clocks, built Japan's first wristwatch, the Laurel, in 1913, and put the Seiko name on a dial for the first time in 1924. By mid-century his successors ran one of the most vertically integrated watch companies on earth, making everything from hairsprings to cases under its own roof.
