► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Citizen Kushitani men’s digital sports watch, reference DQ-5110, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This is a highly collectible collaboration model and one of the rarest variants of the DQ-5110 line. What makes this watch especially significant is the Kushitani-branded dial, which distinguishes it from the already-rare standard versions that are more commonly seen branded as Citizen or Vega. Kushitani is a legendary Japanese motorcycle gear manufacturer, and this special-edition collaboration is exceptionally difficult to find today, particularly in this condition. The watch is largely fully functional. All features and functions operate properly except for two noted issues: • One pixel is missing on the seconds counter • The backlight is not functioning Aside from these two disclosed points, the watch operates as intended. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket Seiko stainless steel bracelet that closely matches the original strap design and suits the watch extremely well. The watch is in excellent physical condition, showing almost no signs of use. The photos best describe its condition and should be reviewed carefully. Key Details: • Brand: Citizen • Special Edition: Kushitani • Model / Reference: DQ-5110 • Type: Digital Sports Watch • Market: Japan Domestic Market (JDM) • Era: 1980s • Functions: Digital timekeeping and chronograph functions (seconds counter has one missing pixel; backlight not working) • Strap: Aftermarket Seiko stainless steel bracelet • Condition: Excellent physical condition; minimal signs of use; photos best describe condition An exceptionally rare and desirable 1980s JDM digital watch, this Kushitani edition stands apart from other DQ-5110 variants and represents a unique crossover between Japanese watchmaking and motorsport culture. A standout piece for serious Citizen, JDM, or vintage digital collectors. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY

Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
