Up for sale is a rare vintage Citizen Seven Star Deluxe 21 Jewel Automatic men’s dress watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1960s. This classic timepiece features Citizen’s respected Seven Star automatic movement and showcases the elegant styling that made the series one of Citizen’s most successful vintage collections.
The watch is in full working condition and is running and holding accurate time. It is fitted with an aftermarket black leather strap, while all other parts of the watch are original. The day and date functions operate properly.
I am unsure when the watch was last serviced, and while it is currently performing without issue and holding accurate time over a 24 hour period on a full wind, I believe it would benefit from a routine service due to its age.
The watch has signs of use and age consistent with a vintage timepiece. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully by interested buyers.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY
Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
