► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an ultra-rare vintage Citizen Independent ITJ21-5231 men’s dual time sports watch, produced exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1990s. This is an exceptionally unique and hard-to-find model that features two completely separate displays, providing true dual-time functionality in a bold, avant-garde design. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions of the watch are working properly. Both displays operate as intended, allowing each time zone to be set and read independently. All parts of the watch are original, including the case, dual displays, hands, crowns, movement, and strap. The watch is in good physical condition with signs of normal use and age. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully, as they form part of the description. The case size is approximately 33mm x 40mm, giving it a compact yet striking rectangular presence on the wrist. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY

Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
