► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an extremely rare vintage Citizen D046 men’s alarm chronograph digital sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This model is seldom seen and is especially desirable in this very rare colorway, making it a standout piece for serious Citizen and vintage digital collectors. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions of the watch are working properly, including timekeeping, alarm, and chronograph functions. The digital display is clear, and the buttons respond as intended. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket strap, which pairs well with the case and allows it to be worn comfortably. The watch has signs of use and age, but the photos best describe its physical condition. This is an exceptionally hard-to-find Citizen digital from the 1980s, and examples that remain fully functional—especially in this colorway—are rarely offered for sale. Key Details: • Brand: Citizen • Model: D046 • Era: 1980s • Display: Digital • Functions: Time, Alarm, Chronograph • Strap: Aftermarket strap • Origin: Japan Domestic Market (JDM) • Condition: Fully working. Signs of use and age present. A rare opportunity to add a highly collectible and unusual Citizen digital sports watch to a vintage collection. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY

Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
