► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Yogi Bear Hanna-Barbera LM-5 Melody Alarm digital watch, featuring Module 112 and produced in the 1980s. This highly collectible character model features colorful Yogi Bear artwork licensed by Hanna-Barbera Productions and is part of Casio’s early novelty and melody alarm watch lineup from the golden era of digital watchmaking. This example is in full working condition, and all features and functions of the watch are operating properly, including timekeeping and the unique melody alarm function. The watch features a charming illustrated dial design with Yogi Bear and accompanying musical note graphics, giving it a very distinctive and nostalgic appearance. The watch has slight screen bleed in the top right corner of the display. Beyond this issue, the display remains clear and functional. The watch is fitted on an aftermarket replacement strap that is almost identical to the original strap in appearance. All other parts of the watch are original. The watch is in very good physical condition overall but shows signs of use and age consistent with a worn vintage watch. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
