Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Wave Ceptor WVQ-M410 Tough Solar World Time men’s watch from the 1990s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This model features radio-controlled Multi Band 6 timekeeping, world time, Tough Solar charging, and a multi-function analog display—one of Casio’s more advanced solar quartz designs of the era.
The watch is being sold strictly for parts or repair. It is currently not functioning and is completely untested, so the cause of the issue is unknown. It may require only a battery or solar recharge, or it could have a more serious internal problem. It is not known whether the watch can be repaired. All parts of the watch are original, including the case, dial, hands, bracelet, clasp, and module.
The watch has signs of use consistent with age, and the photos best describe its physical condition.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
