► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Tropico TPC-11 men’s digital sports watch from the 1980s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) and powered by module 1075. The Tropico series is known for its vibrant tropical styling and distinctive dial designs, and this model stands out with its bold blue and turquoise color scheme and decorative “Tropico” bezel graphics. The watch is in full working condition and all features and functions of the watch are working properly. The sound is slightly dull but is still functioning as intended. All parts of the watch are original. The watch is in good physical condition but shows signs of use and age. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. Key Details: • Brand: Casio • Model: Tropico TPC-11 • Module: 1075 • Era: 1980s (JDM) • Movement: Digital Quartz • Functions: Time, alarm, stopwatch, and calendar display • Originality: All parts original • Condition: Fully working; sound slightly dull; signs of use and age The Tropico line remains one of Casio’s more distinctive vintage digital series, and examples of the TPC-11 are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially in original condition. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
