► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a vintage Casio SKX-1000 digital ski sports watch, featuring Module 969 and produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1980s. This version of the SKX-1000 stands out for its vibrant colorway and bold design, representing Casio’s creative and adventurous spirit during one of its most innovative decades. The watch is in full working condition and remains all-original, including its orange resin case, stainless steel back, and original resin strap. It is in excellent physical condition, retaining its bright tones and crisp, well-preserved details. Notably, the original band retains all of its factory graphics, which is extremely hard to find on these models, as the printed details commonly wear away over time. This makes this example especially desirable for collectors seeking a strong, well-preserved piece. The photos best describe its overall appearance and should be reviewed carefully. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
