Up for sale is an ultra-rare vintage Casio GM-30 Game-30 Men’s Digital Watch, made for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) during the 1980s. This watch features Casio’s iconic built-in LCD game, blending digital timekeeping with interactive gameplay—a hallmark of Casio’s most collectible era. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions are operating properly. It should be noted that the battery clip inside the module is missing, and one of the metal pusher tabs has been slightly modified to ensure proper engagement, as the original tab was not functioning correctly. The screen shows minor bleed, though it does not affect functionality or visibility during operation. The watch is fitted with an aftermarket black resin/rubber strap that complements its original sporty aesthetic. The case shows noticeable signs of use and age, consistent with its vintage nature, but the photos best describe its physical condition. This is one of the rarest game watches Casio ever produced, and examples in working condition are nearly impossible to find today. Casio’s vintage game watch line has become one of the most sought-after collections among vintage digital watch enthusiasts. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
