Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Casio Casiotron R-11 men’s digital sports watch, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1970s. This early Casiotron model represents Casio’s formative years in digital watchmaking and is a highly collectible example of the brand’s pioneering quartz technology.
The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions are operating properly.
All parts of the watch are original, including the genuine Casio stainless steel mesh bracelet, which is exceptionally difficult to find with this model and greatly enhances its collectability.
The watch head is in very good physical condition, showing typical signs of use and age consistent with a 1970s timepiece. The mesh bracelet shows more noticeable wear from use over time, while remaining fully intact and original. The photos best describe the overall physical condition and should be reviewed carefully.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY
Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
