► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Alba Y799-4100 men’s digital alarm chronograph sports watch from the 1980s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). Alba, a subsidiary of Seiko, was known for producing innovative and sporty digital watch designs during the era, and this model reflects the bold styling typical of early Alba digital watches. The watch is being sold for parts or repair as it is currently not functioning and has not been tested. Because it is completely untested, it is unknown what the issue may be or if the watch can be repaired. The watch is fitted on an aftermarket gold tone bracelet. The watch has signs of use and age, but the photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. Key Details: • Brand: Alba (Seiko subsidiary) • Model: Y799-4100 • Era: 1980s (JDM) • Movement: Digital Quartz • Functions: Alarm chronograph digital display • Bracelet: Aftermarket gold tone bracelet • Condition: Not functioning; completely untested; sold for parts or repair A desirable vintage Alba digital sports watch from the golden era of JDM digital watch design. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: ALBA — BRAND HISTORY

Alba is Seiko's other answer to the 1970s upheaval it had itself created. Seiko launched the brand in 1979 as a youth-oriented value line, a name taken from the word for dawn, slotted beneath Seiko proper just as Pulsar, acquired in 1978, served the same role in export markets. Alba watches were designed and built within the Seiko group, using its quartz calibers and factories, but were sold almost exclusively in Japan and Southeast Asia, which is why most of the world has never seen one in a shop window.
