► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a Rare Vintage Alba Quartz V733-7A70 Men’s Classic Watch Japan Domestic Market (JDM) from the 1980s. This model features a clean and highly legible white dial with bold Arabic numerals, a day-date display, and a classic, practical design typical of Alba’s everyday quartz watches from the era. The watch is being sold for parts and repair as it is currently not functioning and completely untested, so it is unknown what the issue is or if it can be fixed. Additionally, the watch does not come with the crown. The watch shows signs of use and age consistent with a worn vintage watch. The photos best describe its physical condition. ► ARCHIVE FILE: ALBA — BRAND HISTORY

Alba is Seiko's other answer to the 1970s upheaval it had itself created. Seiko launched the brand in 1979 as a youth-oriented value line, a name taken from the word for dawn, slotted beneath Seiko proper just as Pulsar, acquired in 1978, served the same role in export markets. Alba watches were designed and built within the Seiko group, using its quartz calibers and factories, but were sold almost exclusively in Japan and Southeast Asia, which is why most of the world has never seen one in a shop window.
