► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a NOS (New Old Stock) rare vintage Alba Success men’s quartz wristwatch, model V701-1P80, produced in Japan during the 1980s. This elegant “Real Traditional” model embodies classic 1980s Japanese design and features a beautifully unique luminous dial that glows vividly in low light—an uncommon and desirable trait for a dress watch of this era. The watch is in full working condition, and all features and functions operate properly. All parts of the watch are 100% original. The original leather strap is beginning to deteriorate from age, but beyond this, the watch itself remains in mint physical condition. The photos best describe its overall appearance. ► ARCHIVE FILE: ALBA — BRAND HISTORY

Alba is Seiko's other answer to the 1970s upheaval it had itself created. Seiko launched the brand in 1979 as a youth-oriented value line, a name taken from the word for dawn, slotted beneath Seiko proper just as Pulsar, acquired in 1978, served the same role in export markets. Alba watches were designed and built within the Seiko group, using its quartz calibers and factories, but were sold almost exclusively in Japan and Southeast Asia, which is why most of the world has never seen one in a shop window.
