► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a NOS (New Old Stock) rare vintage Citizen Vega Snoopy AE87-2516H digital watch from the 1980s, produced for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This highly collectible novelty model features Snoopy and Woodstock and is one of the most unique character watches produced during the era. The watch is in full working condition and all features and functions are working properly. The watch operates in a very unique way where pressing Woodstock, the small yellow character next to Snoopy, causes the digital timekeeping module to pop out from the side of the watch. The module can then be pushed back into the case where it securely locks into place. All parts of the watch are original. The watch comes complete with its original presentation box, original paperwork, and original hang tag. The watch is in mint never used physical condition. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CITIZEN — BRAND HISTORY

Citizen traces to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, founded in Tokyo in 1918. Its first product, a pocket watch completed in 1924, was christened CITIZEN, a name encouraged by Tokyo mayor Shinpei Goto in the hope that the watch would be close to the hearts of ordinary people. Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930, and through the postwar decades it grew into one of the two pillars of Japanese watchmaking alongside Seiko, eventually ranking among the largest watch producers in the world.
