► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Super Cyber Cross digital game wristwatch, model JG-100, produced exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM) in the 1990s. This nostalgic multi-function model features Casio’s unique IR beam communication system and is part of the iconic Cyber Cross series, celebrated for its interactive messaging, data transfer capabilities, and built-in gaming. This example is new old stock (NOS) and remains in mint physical condition. The watch is in full working order, and all confirmed features and functions operate properly, including timekeeping, communication, and game modes. It is powered by Casio’s Module 1248 and displays all screens correctly. The front-facing buttons feel slightly stiff with age but still function as intended. The watch is fitted with a brand new aftermarket strap, as the original strap has deteriorated over time. The watch comes with its original box, papers, and accessories; however, it appears that one small accessory may be missing, though I am not sure what that item originally was. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
