For sale is a rare vintage Casio Pro Trek PRT-30 Twin Sensor digital sports watch, a Japan-Domestic-Market (JDM) release from the 1990s. Powered by module 1406, this Pro Trek features Casio’s Twin Sensor technology, including altimeter and thermometer functions, making it a capable adventure tool from the early generation of Pro Trek outdoor watches. This watch is new old stock (NOS), never worn, and remains in mint physical condition. All features and functions operate correctly, including the sensors, digital display, EL backlight, and button interface. All parts of the watch are completely original, including the Pro Trek signed strap and buckle. Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
