► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio JC-11 men’s digital sports watch, powered by Module 880. This Japan Domestic Market (JDM) model from the 1980s was designed specifically for fitness tracking and includes advanced step, pace, distance, and calorie measurement functions that were well ahead of their time. The watch is in full working condition, with a crisp and fully legible display. All buttons are responsive, and all features and functions operate as intended. It comes fitted on a genuine Casio bracelet, which is not the original bracelet, as the original strap deteriorated over time due to age. Physically, the watch shows signs of use and age, consistent with its vintage nature. The photos best describe its physical condition and should be reviewed carefully. The watch includes its original module manual, which is a nice bonus for collectors. Designed for walkers and joggers, the JC-11 features dedicated Jog/Walk modes, a step counter, distance and pace tracking, and a calorie estimator, making it a notable early example of wearable fitness technology. ► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
